‘Be WaPP’ litter-picking operation

Author Museum of Walloon Life (Liège, Belgium)

Place Liège

Date 2021

Language French (CC) in English, French and German

This video report follows a group of volunteers picking up litter in the Bressoux district of Liège. The volunteers have united to form a collective called ‘1h pour ma ville’ [An hour for my town] and are supported by ‘Be WaPP’, a non-profit organisation to promote a cleaner Wallonia, which supplies them with all their cleaning equipment. Their goal is to clean up their neighbourhoods to set an example and show how local residents can keep their streets cleaner. The interview was conducted by the Research Department of the Museum of Walloon Life as part of its temporary exhibition ‘Ordures. L’expo qui fait le tri’.
